The company

At Community Links Support Ltd, we have provided care and support services to people in Derby for over 10 years. We provide these services in people’s homes, in our supported living houses, and in our Day Centre which is located in Derby city centre.

We are currently in an exciting time of growth and are looking to fill a number of positions to maintain and grow our current business services (please keep a look out for additional roles in our day service).

The role

We are looking to hire a number of candidates to fill each of the following roles in our supported living houses:

Hours: Part-time or full-time, up to 36 hours a week.

Location: Working across two of our supported living services in Oakwood, Derby.

Hours: 0 hours casual.

Location: Working in up to three of our supported living services – two of which are in Oakwood, Derby, and the other is in Littlewood, Derby.

Please note that full-time hours are 36 hours a week for our Supported Living Service and occurs on a rota basis which may include sleep-ins. 

Pay:  A starting salary of £9.70, up to £10.50 per hour after the probation period. Additional payments are made for Sleep-in shifts.

There is also a generous enhanced pay entitlement for working on public holidays.

Contract type: Permanent.

Shift options: Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

You will look for opportunities and ways of working with people which will maximise their independence, while introducing them to new experiences and exciting things.

As a Support Worker, you may provide support through helping customers with: general day-to-day activities, social activities, shopping, budgeting, self-care, health appointments, day trips and holidays, decision making, medication, independent living skills, and inclusion in the community.

The role

We are looking to hire a number of candidates to fill each of the following roles:

Contract type: Permanent.

Location: Derby

Pay:  A starting salary of £10.50 per hour, after the probation period.

Shift options: Part-time or full-time, any time between 8am and 6pm, Monday – Friday | Full-time on a 7-hour shift, 9am to 4pm, Monday – Friday.

Please note that full-time hours are 35 hours a week for our Day Service and normally occurs during the daytime from 9am-4pm.

What will you do?

Our Support Workers focus on supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, as well as children in our short-breaks service.

Support work can be a varied job, it involves some aspects of personal care as well as opportunities to support our customers to engage in varied and sometimes exciting activities.  Some examples of the activities that our customers like to do are going for a walk, gardening in our allotment, going to the pub or a café, going swimming…the list is endless.

Children Support Services

We are pleased to announce the centre has had a fabulous refurbishment recently and what better way to launch this than with the announcement that we are starting a new and exciting venture for children and young people.

We can now offer short break support, filled with a fun engaging activity schedule for children, including Early Years and young people who require support during out of school or college hours. This includes after school/college, weekends, holidays, days out and weekends away.

New Roof Terrace

 

Our new roof terrace is a great addition to the space at Community Links and just in time for the summer!

We have ordered a new swing chair and outdoor sensory equipment, which will be arriving this week.

 

New Website

Community Links is currently building it's new website. We hope it will be easy to use and will have lots of interesting content!
